The Problem

Founded with two friends after spotting an opportunity in the rise of AI: students preparing for exams had to work through huge volumes of study material, with no fast way to turn it into something they could actually review and retain.

The Approach

• Built a platform that used AI to condense raw study material into flash cards, practice exams, and summaries, cutting down the time needed to prepare
• Ran as a three-person team — one developer focused on AI, one on backend, and the founder working full-stack across the whole product to keep everything moving
• Worked closely and directly with students to learn what they actually needed, shaping the roadmap around real usage rather than assumptions
• Built a Chrome extension after seeing demand for capturing study material directly from wherever students were reading it

The Results

• Grew from a small experiment to roughly 1,500 users
• Shipped a Chrome extension in direct response to user feedback
• Proved out an AI-condensation workflow (flash cards, quizzes, summaries) that students actively adopted for exam prep

How It Ended

The product was discontinued in 2025 due to Swedish regulatory requirements. The team wound it down responsibly: existing users kept access to all the study material they'd already generated, while new material generation was disabled. A hard outcome, but a strong proof of concept for AI-assisted studying and a formative experience running a product end-to-end with a small team.
